Caring Heart Coronary Imaging News!
CBS Reports on Alzheimer Breakthrough !
Caring Heart Coronary Imaging is proud to provide non-invasive, neurological testing to help diagnose Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. PET may enable earlier diagnosis of Alzheimer’s by identifying beta-amyloid plaque in brain tissue. In addition, PET is a fantastic tool for distinguishing between types of dementia and for identifying pharmaceuticals to slow the progress of the disease.
The biggest benefit to having a PET Brain study performed at Caring Heart Coronary Imaging is there is reduced radiation exposure to the patient. The Positron Attrius Scanner does not use CT in obtaining brain images. This is a huge factor for our patients who may have had substantial exposure to radiation in the past. Furthermore, we have the newest software technology in Neuroimaging, which allows us to generate more definitive reports that our clinicians have confidence in.
